Kaelin Jenkins Brown Sends A Care Package From Kingston

Kaelin Jenkins Brown from K.E.E.P. Kids PlayingIn 2012, KFK received a generous care package from Ambassador Girl Scout Kaelin Jenkins Brown

Kaelin is from Kingston MA, and runs an program called K. E. E. P. Kids Playing (Kingston Equipment Exchange Program). KEEP enables community athletes to donate and exchange old or outgrown youth sporting equipment. Kaelin started KEEP as a Girl Scout project, and earned her Gold Award (the highest award within the association) in doing so.

As the project is now wrapping up, Kaelin wanted to pass on the remaining equipment to help people outside of her community. She donated to several charities throughout the country, one of those being KFK!

Kaelin sent us 30 pairs of cleats (both soccer and baseball), as well as varying uniforms (pants, shorts, shirts), two baseball/softball gloves, a soccer ball, and a softball.

Thanks Kaelin! We'll put this good use in the coming year.

KFK Inspires Others Around The World

KFK has received numerous inquiries about how to start similar organizations or from groups in need of our donations

In December 2009, we received an inquiry from a University student that while in Guatemala played soccer with some kids that did not have any cleats. It inspired her to do some research and she found our organization. We are in communication with her and are in the process of helping her set up a similar organization or partnership.

In December 2009, we also received an email from a volunteer for the Youth Football Club in the village of Rurka Kalan, Punjab, India. He wrote: "YFC is an amateur football club ...that teaches... children regardless of age, caste, or any other social classifications. Our main aim is to ...keep children away from the increasing incidence of drug abuse in rural Punjab"

KFK responds to all inquiries and provides inspiration to others to start similar organizations and directly connects with clubs and players that need our assistance.

Founder. Lauren Alper, started KFK to help less fortunate around the world; as KFK has grown it has impacted her life in so many ways including making amazing connections worldwide with people who share a common vision and heart.
